Family Formation

What is it??

The training offered by schools open not only to students and staff, but also to families. Family formation is based on the successful training actions and responds to the interests and needs of families.

One of the most successful formations are dialogic literary gatherings that are developed with and family. Community members of diverse profile people (with or without academic qualifications, from different cultures, ages, backgrounds, lifestyles, religion, ideology, etc..) Share dialogues, develop critical knowledge and building reflections around a work Universal classical literature. Thus, people who had never read these books, or any book, show great satisfaction and enthusiasm for reading literary works such as James Joyce, Cortázar, Sappho, The Arabian Nights, The Ramayana or The Odyssey.

Research has shown that student interactions with other social actors involved in their education directly influence school performance. Therefore, teacher training but also the formation of families and other community members is not only necessary. One of the contributions arising from INCLUD-ED (2006-2011) is that the academic performance of boys and girls do not depend on both the level of schooling families, and the fact that when the sons / daughters are in school also families are doing training.

How is it organized?

The school offers training programs in areas and actions of success considering the demands and needs of families and the community. Based on these premises, and they are the ones who decide what they need to learn and when they can.
